Judy Le was a
brilliant ray of sunshine at the end of this long, escrow tunnel. After
going through the back-and-forth dealings with the sellers regarding the roof,
the inspection, the weird contingency things on the other end, and the schedule
slips, along with the underwriter’s repeated requests for things like forty-five
different types of proof of our children’s ages, Judy’s phone calls were a nice
break from it all. Her voice was an indicator that we were “almost
done”. She contacted us around the beginning of the escrow process and
was very detailed in any requests for information she needed from start to
finish. She kept us updated on any goings-on on her end that may slow the
process down or need input from us to keep going. I could also tell that
her working relationship with the agents and lender was strong; everyone communicated
well and seemed to be on the same page, no matter who I spoke with. That
was also huge for us, as we didn’t feel like we needed to repeat ourselves to
five different people throughout the whole process. During the final
week, Judy accurately explained what went into that final down payment plus the
closing cost. She also did everything in her power to make sure that we
closed the morning of the 13th; she met us at our workplace at 6:30
with everything printed and ready to go, and we knocked out the paperwork
signing within the hour. She was very thorough and professional with us;
she broke down each term, explained what each paragraph meant on every sheet,
and didn’t rush us to sign if we had questions. She was by far the best notary
I had ever done this process with.
